The band members of the PHHS Marching Arabians are involved with fundraisers. These fundraisers are done for the expenses the School Board does not cover, such as; uniform costs and care, participation in competitions, instrument maintenance, awards, and etc. By participating in a variety of fundraising activities the students could get up to 100% of their marching fees and other expenses paid. There are several ongoing fundraising opportunities throughout the year. Be sure to review the fundraising examples to see how participation in these events can help you pay for Marching Band without writing a check!! Annual Fish Fry will be held on September 7th, 2007, between 4:30 - 7:30 pm prior to the home football game in the high school cafeteria. Meal includes: all-you-can-eat fish, chicken, and 2 sides: cole slaw, baked beans, applesauce, dessert, and drink. Sign up for Meijer Community Rewards. The PHHS Arabian Band is now signed up with Meijer's. To get your own card, complete an application form which are available at the band room or Meijer's, any Band Booster, or sign up on line at the Meijer Website. Your earnings are determined by your monthly spending after $100. Meijer's sends the band a monthly check. There are some restrictions on purchases (not good on gasoline, etc). You must show or swipe your Meijer's card at every visit. You can also have friends or family join. Also band students selling monthly scrip gift cards. Buy them for Christmas, Birthdays, or use them like money. Also selling Marsh Cards. A portion of the profit will go to your student's account. Papa John's Pizza Cards are a great fundraiser. From a $10 card the band gets $4 and the student gets $4 in their account plus the first pizza is free! Pizza Fundraiser in Spring, Cookie/Candy in Fall. The Band is the largest single student participation group in the High School, and they work very hard to bring attention to our sponsors and honor their representation.
