The South Madison Community School Corporation (SMCS) Band Boosters is an incorporated, non-profit, tax-exempt organization. It is the parental portion and behind-the-scenes backbone of our student's band activities. We help the students and directors in a variety of ways: assisting in performance set-up/tear down, providing food/supplies, managing student accounts, measuring and altering uniforms, fund raising, and much more. You do not sign up to be a booster member and there are no dues. All parents and guardians of all students (past and present) involved in the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Color Guard, Indoor Percussion, Jazz Bands, and Pep Band are automatically members.
Band Boosters meet monthly in the PHHS Band Room. Meeting dates are posted on this website. At these meetings, you receive information and updates from the executive board, hear committee reports, review the budget and financial information, and are provided with many opportunities to volunteer your time and services. If you can't attend a meeting, please refer to this website for a copy of minutes and other pertinent news.
Band Boosters are vital to the operation of the band program at both PHHS and PHMS. The program's success depends on parental commitment, time and resources. Our directors and assistants are dedicated, talented, hardworking teachers and mentors. The support provided by the Boosters allows the staff to concentrate on the important job of building musicians and visual performers. We encourage all interested adults to get involved in the rewarding experience of participating in your student's life through the band program.
*/Charms /*is an all-encompassing management system used by thousands of schools to help music teachers, athletic coaches, dance and drill team directors, and booster clubs organize student contact information, manage inventory, assign uniforms, track attendance, and work with trips, fees, fundraisers, form collection, and lots more. Through /*Charms, */ SMCS Band Boosters can send group emails, broadcast phone and text messages, email financial statements, and track fundraisers and student fees. Through /*Charms*/, band staff can make seating charts, manage music libraries, monitor instrument inventory, collect permission slips, etc. /*Charms */works on any computer connected to the internet, from anywhere in the world! All parents of band/guard students will receive a parent/student log-in code. Through this code, parents can access their student's record which includes contact information and a statement summary of any outstanding fees.
